Veselá is a Wallachian village. It is part of the Slušovicko microregion. It lies about 13 km east of Zlín.

Veselá was first mentioned in 1407 as part of the Lukov estate. St Anne's Chapel stands in the centre of the village and was built in 1913. It is used for the pilgrimage and local feast celebrations. The primary school with a nursery school in the village provides the first stage of primary education. A school has operated here since 1878, and the current school building dates from 1914.
